Cookie Policy

Last updated: 19 September 2026

This policy explains what cookies are, which ones draycottclothing.co.uk uses, what they do, and how to change your mind about them at any time. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy.

What is a cookie

A cookie is a small text file placed on your computer or phone when you visit a website. It lets the site recognise your device on the next page or the next visit, which is how a basket stays full, a login stays logged in, and a shop can tell whether a page is working.

We also use similar technologies such as pixels and local storage. Where this policy says "cookies", it means all of them.

First-party and third-party cookies

First-party cookies are set by us and are needed for the shop to function.

Third-party cookies are set by the services we use: our shop platform, our analytics provider, and advertising platforms where you have consented. Those parties can read their own cookies when you visit other sites that use the same service.

The categories we use

Strictly necessary

These make the shop work: keeping items in your basket, holding your session together during checkout, remembering your cookie choices, and protecting against fraud and abuse. They do not identify you personally and they cannot be switched off, because without them the shop does not function.

Functional

These remember choices you have made, such as country, language and recently viewed items, so you do not have to set them again. Turning them off does not break the shop, but it makes it more forgetful.

Performance and analytics

These tell us how many people visit, which pages they read, where they leave, and which errors they hit. We use that to fix what is broken and drop what nobody uses. The reporting is aggregated; we are not watching individuals.

Advertising and marketing

These let us show relevant advertising on other platforms, cap how often you see the same advert, and measure whether a campaign led to a sale. They are only set if you consent.

Your choices

The first time you visit, a banner asks whether you accept non-essential cookies. You can accept all, reject all, or choose per category. Nothing beyond the strictly necessary cookies is set before you decide.

You can change your choice at any time through the cookie settings link in the footer. Withdrawing consent stops future use; it does not undo data already collected.

Managing cookies in your browser

Your browser can also block or delete cookies. Look under settings, privacy, or site data:

  • Chrome: Settings › Privacy and security › Third-party cookies
  • Safari: Settings › Safari › Privacy & Security
  • Firefox: Settings › Privacy & Security › Cookies and Site Data
  • Edge: Settings › Cookies and site permissions

Blocking all cookies will stop checkout from working, so we would suggest managing them by category instead.

How long cookies last

Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies stay until they expire or you delete them; ours range from a few days for basket recovery to around two years for analytics identifiers.

Changes to this policy

If we add or remove a service that sets cookies, we will update this page and the date at the top.
